PACCAR Technical Center is seeking a Calibration Engineer to focus on calibration and in-vehicle verification of heavy- and medium-duty vehicle functions. You will work across divisions to develop and calibrate best-in-class vehicle functions for North America.

The role requires 5+ years in vehicle development and strong understanding of vehicle and powertrain systems, plus experience with J1939, UDS, XCP, and CAN networks. On-site opportunity in the Skagit Valley region of Washington state.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in vehicle development, integration, or testing.
• Knowledge of vehicle and powertrain management systems and performance.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols: J1939, UDS, XCP, Ethernet, CAN-bus, LIN-bus.
• CDL or ability and desire to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in calibration, verification, release, and implementation of software.
• Integrates, calibrates, and optimizes vehicle performance via in-vehicle testing of control software.
• Develops and executes test plans for requirements verification and reports defects.
• Provides technical feedback on proposed product changes.
• Supports running change software releases in calibration and verification contexts.
• Contributes to calibration plans including timing, quality, and budget.
• Translates customer requirements into software calibration data and configurations.
• Collaborates with Control, Software, and Validation teams on testing and defect resolution.
• Maintains calibration quality and on-time software releases.
• Keeps current on software functionality and product requirements.
