Job summary

PACCAR’s Global Powertrain organization in Mount Vernon, WA, seeks a Senior System Performance Verification Engineer to lead integration, verification and optimization of aftertreatment and 48V systems.

You will partner with calibration, controls, electrical, mechanical and vehicle teams to deliver robust powertrain solutions that meet performance, durability, fuel economy and emissions goals. This role requires hands-on testing, data analysis and clear technical communication.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
• Experience with automotive powertrain and aftertreatment systems is desirable.
• Familiarity with CAN and vehicle networks; strong data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop validation plans from component to vehicle levels.
• Execute tests in the test cell to evaluate fuel economy and emissions.
• Collaborate with Engine Integration, OBD calibration and Vehicle teams.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality and durability.
• Communicate findings through reports and presentations.
• Mentor and develop less experienced engineers.
• Maintain strong cross-group relationships within PACCAR.
• Stay aware of new aftertreatment technologies and testing methods.
