Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced backup administrator to manage Veeam Backup & Replication environments across multiple platforms and cloud integrations. You will act as the Level 3 escalation point for complex issues, perform RCA, and implement permanent fixes to ensure data protection and disaster recovery readiness.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to mentor L1/L2 engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in backup administration and operations.
• Azure/AWS/Google Cloud certification preferred.
• Proven ability to perform RCA and implement permanent fixes.

Responsibilities

• Administer Veeam Backup & Replication environments across IBM, EMC, Veritas and VEEAM.
• Act as Level 3 escalation point for complex backup issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Veeam environments.
• Manage backup, replication, restore, and DR operations.
• Troubleshoot failures, repositories, proxies, and performance bottlenecks.
• Configure Veeam Cloud Connect, SureBackup, SureReplica, Enterprise Manager, and Veeam ONE.
• Support VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, and physical server backups.
