Gilbane Building Co. is seeking a Senior VDC Engineer to lead constructability and coordination tasks on a Wisconsin project, leveraging BIM and reality capture to drive project outcomes. The role requires travel to Northern Wisconsin sites as needed and collaboration across design and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, BIM or related field.
• 3-4 years of VDC Coordination experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently completes VDC coordination and reality capture processes with little supervision
• Supports the implementation of Baseline and Enterprise VDC standards
• Understands and applies BIM Standards and BEP on projects
• Responsible for the quality and execution of day-to-day VDC deliverables and processes; relays project issues to the VDC Manager
• May assist in drafting project coordination schedule and reviewing with the VDC Manager
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members in other regions/BU's
• Communicates with internal and external project teams; facilitates meetings to resolve issues
• Utilizes 3D design software to identify, communicate, and resolve project challenges
• Utilizes Reality Capture technology to support project deliverables
• Combines all building discipline models into the coordination model
• Reviews the coordination model for constructability issues using clash detection
• Assigns responsible party for issue resolution; documents with meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, and updated models
• Displays areas of subject matter expertise
• Gains exposure to various project delivery methods and market sectors
• Participates in BU office and department activities including orientation, trainings
• Responsible for 2-4 project VDC deliverables under little supervision
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment
• Collaborates with business development to strengthen client and partner relationships
