Job summary

The Weitz Company seeks a VDC Manager II to lead digital construction processes from our offices across the United States. You will apply VDC technologies on sites, provide drone, laser scanning, and reality capture expertise, and drive 3D/4D/5D models for design and project delivery.

You will streamline workflows between preconstruction and field teams, mentor staff, and coordinate with vendors. Strong leadership, BIM, and data analysis are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Five years minimum in architecture, construction, or manufacturing with two+ years in VDC/BIM management.
• LEAN principles desirable; OSHA 10/30 preferred or willing to obtain.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk suite; ability to learn other software.

Responsibilities

• Apply VDC tech on sites with project teams.
• Provide expertise on drones, laser scanning, reality capture.
• Leverage 3D/4D/5D models for design, management, and implementation.
• Streamline workflows across preconstruction and field ops.
• Lead VDC training sessions with learning & development.
• Test and implement new software/hardware with approvals.
• Produce VDC estimates and cost analysis when requested.
• Maintain VDC standards; manage updates and best practices.
• Analyze metrics and propose improvements; negotiate with vendors.
• Support marketing and business development; present VDC capabilities.
• Maintain site models, logistic plans, and coordination models.
