The Weitz Company is seeking a VDC Manager to lead design, management, and implementation of VDC systems on Cedar Rapids projects and nationwide. You will coordinate 3D/4D/5D content with project teams, advance field workflows, and mentor staff in cutting-edge VDC practices.

Based in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will oversee drone operations, reality capture, and integration with preconstruction and field operations. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Industry-related bachelor's degree is required.
• Equivalent education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Apply VDC technologies on site with project teams.
• Provide tech expertise on drones, robotics, laser scanning, and reality capture.
• Leverage 3D/4D/5D digital content for VDC design, management and implementation.
• Streamline workflows between preconstruction and field operations.
• Lead VDC training sessions with the learning and development team.
• Test and direct implementation of new software/hardware with VDC leader approval.
• Produce VDC estimates and cost analysis as requested.
• Suggest improvements to support company-wide VDC initiatives.
• Maintain VDC standards and industry best practices.
• Analyze metrics to identify improvements and propose solutions.
• Negotiate with vendors and service providers.
• Promote VDC capabilities and corporate marketing initiatives.
• Present VDC capabilities to owners/architects/project teams.
• Stay updated with latest software/technology and identify improvements.
• Mentor team members and delegate tasks for development.
