Zusammenfassung

The Weitz Company seeks an experienced VDC Engineer II to join our team and be based at one of our U.S. offices. The role focuses on developing VDC models, coordinating with field teams, and applying 3D/4D/5D methods to improve project delivery.

You will support construction planning, perform clash resolution, and help implement VDC standards while collaborating with preconstruction and operations teams. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Previous internship experience in a construction role supporting VDC.
• LEAN principles experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail
• Ability to exercise independent judgement
• Initiative and strong decision-making capabilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Aufgaben

• Model development & coordination with increasing independence, ensuring constructability and alignment with field conditions.
• Provide proactive field support including execution plans, quantity takeoffs, constructability coordination, visualizations, and drone operations.
• Apply 3D, 4D, and 5D VDC tools to improve workflows and create models, renderings, and simulations.
• Collaborate with project teams to implement VDC workflows and communicate with field and office staff.
• Manage RFIs, ASIs, and digital documentation workflows with attention to timeliness and accessibility.
• Provide basic training and contribute to VDC standards and materials development.
