Job summary

Umicore Group in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Coordinator to manage and secure precious metals in a high-security environment. You will enforce strict security and accuracy in inventory, collaborating with Trading, Operations, Finance, and Controlling teams.

Responsibilities include vault activities, access control, audits, shipments, and compliance with ISO and CBP requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in secure materials handling, vault logistics, warehousing, or precious-metals environments.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; can manage multiple projects.
• Ability to pass background checks and work in a high-security environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/inventory systems, SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily vault activities, including receiving, weighing, labeling, and documenting high-value materials.
• Maintain strict access control and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Conduct vault audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Track shipments and resolve delays and discrepancies.
• Ensure personnel follow SOPs, security protocols, and compliance.
• Foster accuracy and operational excellence.
• Coordinate material flow with customers and internal teams.
• Support scheduling and prioritization of material movements.
• Ensure shipments comply with packaging and regulatory standards.
