Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a VSET Lead to manage a product family from design through delivery at on-site locations in Promontory, Clearfield, or Magna, UT. The role requires leading cross-functional teams and ensuring cost and schedule objectives are met, with a focus on lean process improvement.

The candidate should hold an engineering degree with several years of experience in engineering, operations, or program management, and must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years in engineering, operations, program management, production, safety and product lifecycle.
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work at all levels.
• Proficient MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
• Experience with manufacturing execution systems (ESI, CostPoint, Sync).
• Ability to work under limited supervision and complete projects on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead all activities for a product family within the value stream.
• Owns and delivers product value stream, including design, planning, manufacture, testing and delivery.
• Coordinate with design, S&MA, process engineering, supply chain, and operations to staff and manage the team.
• Manage financial performance of the value stream and approve change requests.
• Lead lean initiatives for continuous improvement and waste elimination.
