Senior Vaccine Statistics Lead – Remote Global Trials

Job summary

PATH is a global nonprofit improving health equity. We seek a Senior Statistician to lead statistical activities for OPV/nOPV vaccine trials (Phases 1–3), initially focusing on oral polio vaccines, with collaboration across CVIA teams and external CROs.

Reporting to the Director of Statistics, you will develop SAPs, review CSRs, support regulatory submissions, and provide statistical leadership across multidisciplinary teams. Travel 10–15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Master or Doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related scientific discipline.
• Five or more years of experience supporting clinical research with external stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of biostatistics and clinical trial methodology.
• Experience with vaccine clinical trials and polio or enteric vaccines is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SAS and R for statistical programming.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a study statistician for OPV/nOPV trials across all phases.
• Lead or contribute to statistical design, sample size, and DSMB support.
• Develop or review SAPs and analyze trial data for reports and manuscripts.
• Provide statistical input to protocols, CSRs, and regulatory submissions.
• Oversee CRO activities and communicate statistical results clearly to teams.
