Job summary

The Fun Stuff

Manage communication websites, to include not just updates to content but improving functionality (a UX’ers dream) using WordPress and Joomla.

Building websites from the ground up.

The Necessities

You must have a bachelor’s degree in UX, Design, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience (4 additional yearsof professional experience working as a front-end developer, web designer, UX designer, or related field can be substituted in lieu of degree).

Experience designing and developing high-quality websites usingWordPress and Joomla!

Experience with HTML and CSS.

You have an awesome portfolio or link you can share that showcases design experience.

Ability to take the reins and manage projects throughout the website development process.

Developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups is your jam.

Knowledge of human-centered design methodology or design thinking principles.

You can successfully build out websites from the ground up and easily transfer existing content along the way.

Working independently or jumping in to work collaboratively with a team.

The Nice to Haves

Knowledge of WCAG 2.x, Section 508 compliance, responsive design, and front-end best practices in secure government environments.

Certifications in UX/UI, Accessibility, and/or Front-End Development.

Salary Details

Salary range provided during selection process. Exact pay will be determined based on individual factors that may include years of experience, contract requirements, billable vs. non-billable, position urgency/demand, and location/telework options.
