Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to define and execute comprehensive user research programs embedded within a core product area. You will deliver insights that inform strategy and design, working across user types from entrepreneurs to large organizations.

The role covers qualitative and quantitative methods, usability and concept testing, and collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Cognitive Psychology, HCI, UX, Human Factors, Engineering Psychology, Interactive Design, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of UX research experience.
• Experience in UX research on B2B SaaS solutions.
• Experience conducting both exploratory/generative and tactical research, including usability testing and concept testing.
• Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research in an agile process.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate insights to leadership.
• Hands-on approach with generative AI tools to speed UX workflows.

Responsibilities

• Determine efficient qualitative and quantitative UX research approaches to meet business needs.
• Lead exploratory and generative research, framing problems and identifying user needs.
• Plan and execute usability testing and concept testing (moderated/unmoderated).
• Monitor UX project execution and track UX metrics and scorecards.
• Develop UX artifacts like user journeys and archetypes.
• Synthesize data to drive product and design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development process.
• Mentor other UX researchers as needed.
• Advocate user-centered, evidence-based product development.
