Base pay range

$124,800.00/yr - $234,000.00/yr

Role Overview

Join our dynamic team at SoFi as a Senior Researcher, working across the business to influence product decisions at various stages of product development. We are dedicated to helping our members achieve financial independence through innovative, mobile-first financial services, including credit monitoring, banking, investing, and loans.

Responsibilities

1. Lead research initiatives to inform product strategy and design, ensuring user-centered decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that shape product development.
3. Design, execute, and analyze user research studies using qualitative and quantitative methods.
4. Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights for product teams.
5. Manage multiple research projects and contribute to strategic planning.
6. Conduct rapid, iterative research in collaboration with product and design teams.
7. Use understanding of user and business needs to influence outcomes and incorporate feedback into decisions.
8. Create artifacts and facilitate workshops or sprints to influence product outcomes.
9. Stay updated on industry trends and share relevant insights.
10. Contribute to the development of research best practices within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or related field (Graduate degree preferred).
• 5+ years of user research experience in product development.
• Expertise in qualitative methods (interviews, usability testing, diary studies, etc.) and basic quantitative skills (survey design, analysis).
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with advanced survey design, mixed-methods research, and data analysis.
• Experience with experimental research design.
