Job summary

White Wings Technologies seeks a Senior UX Designer / UX Lead to join a high-visibility mobile applications team supporting one of the nation’s largest transit systems in New York City. You will own UX strategy end-to-end—from design systems and research partnerships to executive-level presentations—for digital products used by millions of daily riders.

You will develop design systems, collaborate with UX Research, product managers, and engineers, and present findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

15+ years of UX design experience
10+ years focused on mobile apps
Proven track record leading UX for complex products
Experience in agile development environments
Deep experience building and maintaining design systems
Strong leadership and user-centered design advocacy
Proficiency with modern UX/visual tools (Figma/Sketch)
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity with attention to detail

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain design systems and style guides across digital platforms
Partner with UX Research to understand rider needs and feedback loops
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align user needs and business goals
Partner with the Creative team on brand consistency
Present design concepts and research findings to senior leadership
Establish and document UX processes and best practices
Implement user testing and other QA measures in an agile environment
