Job summary

CGS Federal in Boston seeks a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our Information Technology team supporting a federal agency initiative. You will lead full-scale UX design, research, blueprinting, and collaboration with federal clients to create intuitive interfaces that meet 508 and USWDS standards.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of design experience, a strong portfolio, and advanced skills in HTML, CSS, JS, and the Adobe suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 10+ years of combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design).
• Strong UX design experience with a portfolio showcasing research-driven decisions.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
• Experience designing web and mobile applications compliant with 508 and USWDS standards.
• Experience mentoring/leading junior designers.
• Advanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, and JS).
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe XD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale UX design efforts including research, blueprinting, and evaluating existing systems.
• Plan, design, and implement multiple sites and applications across clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead all phases of user research to inform highly usable web pages and interfaces.
• Collaborate with federal engineers and clients to define, design, and implement innovative solutions.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to communicate interaction ideas.
• Create scalable design resources to aid in project collaboration.
