Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support a broad federal initiative and enhance user experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will lead user research, craft interaction design, and deliver wireframes and high-fidelity mockups for multiple sites and applications.

You will collaborate with federal engineers and clients, ensuring accessibility compliance and adherence to USWDS standards, while mentoring junior designers in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
• Strong UX design experience.
• 10+ years combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design).
• Strong online portfolio demonstrating research-driven decisions for responsive web and mobile apps.
• Expertise in user research methodologies and user-centered design principles and frameworks.
• Advanced understanding of user personas, user flows, affinity mapping, and other research tools.
• Experience designing web and mobile applications compliant with 508 and USWDS standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale UX design efforts including research, blueprinting, and evaluating existing systems.
• Plan, design, and implement multiple sites and applications across clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead all phases of user research to inform usable web pages, app interfaces, and dynamic solutions.
• Collaborate with federal practice engineers and clients to define innovative solutions for use by federal customers and stakeholders.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Create scalable design resources to aid in project collaboration and expansion of ECS creative services.
