Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer II to join our Information Technology team, supporting a major federal agency. The role emphasizes research-led design, user-centered processes, and collaboration with federal engineers and clients to deliver intuitive, accessible web and mobile interfaces.

The candidate will drive UX strategy across multiple sites, mentor junior designers, andEnsure delivery from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups, while adhering to 508 and USWDS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
• Strong UX design experience.
• 10+ years combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design).
• Strong online portfolio showing research-driven decisions in responsive web/mobile design.
• Detail-oriented with高 standards for quality and accuracy.
• Expertise in user research methodologies and UI standards.
• Advanced understanding of user personas and flows.
• Experience with 508 and USWDS standards.
• Experience mentoring junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale UX design efforts including research, blueprinting, and evaluation of existing systems.
• Plan, design, and implement multiple sites and applications across multiple clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead all phases of user research to inform the creation of usable web pages and interfaces.
• Collaborate with federal engineers and clients to design and implement intuitive solutions for federal stakeholders.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Develop scalable design resources to aid in project collaboration and expansion of services.
