Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Sr UX Designer to lead end-to-end UX/UI design for web, mobile, and CLI across our aerospace platforms. Hybrid or in-office in Lone Tree, CO, you’ll mentor a design team and drive information architecture and design systems.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers, ensure accessibility, and present design strategy in cross-functional meetings. A Secret clearance is required or ability to obtain it; 5+ years in UX design preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in graphic design or related field.
• Extensive experience with graphics design application programs and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced Skills in Adobe Creative Cloud Software, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end UX/UI design process — research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity visual design — for web, mobile, and command-line (CLI) applications.
• Develop and drive design strategy and information architecture across the product suite.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define project goals and deliverables.
• Ensure interfaces adhere to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and platform-specific conventions (web, mobile, CLI).
• Review and critique design work to ensure consistency and quality.
• Lead and manage a team of designers, providing mentorship and professional development.
• Manage multiple high-impact projects and ensure on-time delivery of design assets and specs to engineering.
• Represent the design team in strategic meetings and presentations.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate and improve design decisions.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system and component library shared across web, mobile, and CLI surfaces.
