Job summary

Patterson Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead the end-to-end redesign of three major ecommerce sites as it migrates to a new platform and CMS.

You will craft a scalable design system and collaborate with product, engineering, researchers, and content strategists to deliver a cohesive user experience. The role requires strong strategic thinking, hands-on design expertise, and the ability to guide UX initiatives with minimal direction, ensuring accessibility and performance

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of UX design experience in ecommerce or multi-site environments.
• Experience leading large-scale redesigns or platform migrations.
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools.
• Strong IA, interaction design, usability heuristics, and responsive design.
• Experience building/designing CMS-driven design systems.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influence.
• Independent, self-directed work style.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX strategy and design for redesign, re-platforming, and maintenance of three ecommerce sites.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs spanning concept to production.
• Develop and maintain a cohesive multi-site design system with components and documentation.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, researchers, and content strategists to translate goals into intuitive designs.
• Advocate for UX principles and data-informed decisions during planning and sprints.
• Ensure accessibility, responsive design, and performance in all deliverables.
• Provide direction with minimal oversight and identify opportunities, risks, and solutions.
• Support streamlined implementation by partnering with development teams to ensure design fidelity.
