Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced UX Designer to drive end‑to‑end design for consumer and merchant products. You will own the design system, collaborate with Product and Engineering, and lead user research to inform flows and interaction patterns.

The role emphasizes accessibility, executive storytelling, and scalable design across web and mobile. As the first dedicated UX hire, you will shape standards, mentor peers, and advocate for user‑centered solutions.

Qualifications

• Translate business goals and user insights into flows, IA, and interaction patterns.
• Plan and run user research — discovery, usability tests, concept tests.
• Own and evolve design system across surfaces; maintain accessibility standards.
• Present work to leadership; secure buy-in for direction.
• Collaborate with Engineering through build and QA; align with brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Own UX end-to-end for complex consumer and merchant products from discovery to post-launch iteration.
• Partner with Product and Engineering on near-term roadmap and long-term vision.
• Translate behaviors into flows, IA, and interaction patterns.
• Design to WCAG 2.1 AA; ensure accessibility by default.
• Mentor peers and raise the quality bar for design, research, and content.
