The United Illuminating Company in Connecticut is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join the Processes and Systems team. You will enhance the customer experience across Avangrid brands, mapping journeys and delivering seamless interactions for 3M+ households.

Ideal candidates bring 6-8 years of UX/CX experience, a design degree, and strong portfolio. You will collaborate with stakeholders, drive design within agile teams, and mentor junior designers in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborate with Principal UX Designers to lead team activities.
Execute product design within agile teams, including wireframes and prototypes.
Define experience strategies with digital business stakeholders to achieve goals.
Break down features into user stories with detailed design before acceptance.
Present work to product stakeholders and leadership.
Lead partner vendors and design agencies as needed.
Ensure design work aligns with the design system.
Advocate for customer needs throughout the process.
Create journey maps, personas, and use cases to inform design.
Facilitate design-centered workshops with cross-functional stakeholders.
