Job summary

Ascensus is seeking an experienced UX Designer to lead user experiences for web and mobile solutions. You will use design thinking and collaborate across business, design, analytics, and development to guide projects from concept through completion.

Responsibilities include researching users, prototyping solutions, and driving design decisions with qualitative and quantitative data. A portfolio demonstrating complex UX work is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a creative or technical field.
• 5–10 years of UX experience or equivalent
• Portfolio demonstrating solving complex UX problems for web and mobile at scale.
• Strong collaboration skills, creativity, empathy, and passion.
• Excellent communication to enlist support and drive initiatives.
• Experience with Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean methodologies.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping software (Adobe, Sketch, InVision).
• Knowledge of web and mobile UX best practices; basic HTML/CSS understanding.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to switch between projects.
• Ability to give and receive feedback and apply critique to outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Create web and mobile solutions that clarify complex problems using UX research, interaction design, visual design, and information architecture.
• Prototype and scale UX solutions from journey maps to detailed designs.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships across design, business, development, and analytics teams; manage expectations.
• Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform design decisions and measure impact.
• Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned.
• Protect confidential data and ensure proper handling of information.
• Demonstrate Ascensus core values in day-to-day actions.
