Job summary

Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC in Minneapolis seeks a strategic Senior Manager, UX Design to lead end-to-end user experiences for advisors, clients, and prospects across web and mobile platforms. You will partner with cross-functional Agile teams and business leaders to translate user needs into scalable design solutions while championing human-centered design and research.

You will mentor a design team, drive UX strategy, and ensure consistent experience across products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years).
• 7+ years experience.
• Proficient knowledge of human-centered design process, web best-practices and relevant disciplines, including information architecture, interaction and visual design.
• Proficient with design tools, design thinking, systems thinking, and agile methodology.
• Experience with industry standard visualization tools and software (e.g. Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to clearly articulate creative concepts and rationale.
• Working knowledge of design fundamentals such as color theory, composition, branding, typography and web design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts including wireframes, mock-ups and other deliverables; document requirements for development and testing.
• Manage team workload and promote knowledge sharing through coaching and performance management.
• Act as design/brand champion; participate in peer reviews and feedback.
• Conduct UX research including competitive reviews, heuristic evaluations, surveys and usability testing.
• Contribute to project strategy by leading design concepting and user experience approaches.
