Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Manager – Utility Transmission Planning to lead a team of transmission planning and studies engineers across North America. The role involves senior technical supervision and close collaboration with Jacobs PMs and clients.

You will also contribute to business development and bidding efforts. The position is flexible anywhere in North America, with a preference for the Northeast region (New York, Boston, Toronto or Philadelphia).

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of technical industry experience with transmission planning and power system studies.
• Strong background with North American standards (NERC, FERC, ISO interconnection practices).
• Team leadership with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel within North America.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of transmission planning and studies engineers.
• Provide senior technical supervision and liaison between team, Jacobs PMs and clients.
• Support Jacobs’ business development process and proposals/bidding efforts.
