Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electric Transmission Siting Lead to manage transmission projects from planning through stakeholder engagement. You will lead route evaluation, siting studies, budgeting, and multi-disciplinary teams across environmental, regulatory, real estate, and legal functions.

The role requires 8+ years in electric transmission siting, strong leadership, GIS proficiency, and proven client communication with utility executives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electric transmission siting, utility infrastructure, environmental planning, permitting, or related work.
• Demonstrated leadership of complex transmission or linear-infrastructure siting projects.
• Advanced experience with GIS, transmission routing, permitting strategy, regulatory filings, budget/schedule management, and client relationship management.
• Established ability to communicate effectively with utility executives, regulatory agencies, communities, landowners, and technical specialists.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transmission-line, substation, and infrastructure siting assignments involving high-risk or multi-jurisdictional issues.
• Serve as a senior advisor to utility clients and project leadership on routing, permitting, regulatory, property, stakeholder, and constructability considerations.
• Guide agency strategy, public engagement, and responses to critical project risks.
• Resolve complex technical, agency, and stakeholder conflicts, determining when strategic adjustments or escalations are required.
• Support proposal development, client relationship management, business development, and industry forum presentations
