Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks an Electric Transmission Siting Lead to manage transmission siting projects from planning through stakeholder engagement for utility clients and developers.

You will coordinate routes, siting studies, permits, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex infrastructure. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work across environmental, regulatory, real estate, legal, and engineering disciplines, with periodic travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, geography, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of electric transmission siting or related experience.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary siting teams.
• Experience with GIS, routing, permitting, and regulatory filings.
• Ability to communicate with utility executives, agencies, communities.
• Willingness to travel periodically for site visits and public hearings.

Responsibilities

• Lead route screening, feasibility evaluations, and risk assessments for major transmission corridors.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across environmental, engineering, GIS, permitting, real estate, and legal functions.
• Review major deliverables, regulatory submittals, and stakeholder communications.
• Oversee agency engagement strategies and public meetings.
• Mentor junior staff to apply best practices.
• Support proposal development and client relationship management.
