Job summary

EDF Renewable Energy in the West Region seeks experienced Development Managers to lead utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects from prospecting through COD, navigating interconnection queues, permitting, and budget oversight.

Positions are in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo) or San Francisco, CA, offering hybrid work with up to 50% site travel. The role requires 8+ years in development for Manager and 10+ for Sr. Manager, with CAISO/WECC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Environmental Science.
• 8+ years in renewable energy project development; 3+ years managing projects through full development lifecycle.
• Experience in utility-scale energy, infrastructure, or heavy industrial land development.

Responsibilities

• Site Control: identify, evaluate, and secure viable land for utility-scale deployment.
• Interconnection Management: navigate ISO/RTO interconnection queues and studies.
• Permitting & Entitlements: manage environmental and land-use permitting at local, state, and federal levels (CEQA/NEPA where applicable).
• Project Economics: maintain project models, track budgets, ensure FID criteria.
• Technical Coordination: collaborate with engineering and GIS teams to optimize layouts and technology.
