Job summary

DTE Energy is seeking a senior operations leader to oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance activities of a mid-sized plant facility. This role requires independent judgment and initiative, with work largely self-directed and performance reviewed against goals and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required with substantial supervisory/managerial experience.
• Associate’s degree plus 5+ years supervisory/managerial experience in plant ops preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years supervisory/managerial experience in powerhouses/utility assets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operation and maintenance activities.
• Serve as primary liaison with the customer on daily operations and production scheduling.
• Develop the annual operating and maintenance budget.
• Control expenditures to keep costs within budget.
• Coordinate major maintenance and contractor activity with production needs.
• Prepare status reports on operating performance and forecasts.
