Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Standard Operations professional to coordinate daily work plans across crews, optimize resource use, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You’ll assign crews, manage materials, and adapt schedules in real time while collaborating with local supervisors and stakeholders.

The role requires at least five years in construction or utility operations, a strong analytical mindset, and Excel proficiency. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Analytical and problem solving skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
• Knowledge of and ability to use a wide range of computer software applications including Microsoft products, work management, mapping and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Adjust planned schedules daily and assign crews for priority tasks.
• Review incoming work, manage real-time queue and assign new tasks.
• Coordinate equipment, prerequisites and materials for work execution.
• Ensure proper work acceptance and job readiness, communicate changes as needed.
• Maintain schedule visibility and coordinate with supervisors and stakeholders.
