Job summary

Michael Foods, Norwalk, IA, seeks a Utilities Maintenance Operator Subject Matter Expert (UMOSME) to lead critical water/gas/air systems maintenance and reliability programs. You will work with engineering, maintenance, and ARM teams to plan, execute and improve asset care while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring a mechanical background, PSM certification, and 5+ years in utilities maintenance with steam or refrigeration emphasis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a technical field is preferred.
• Two-year technical certificate or associate's degree is acceptable.
• Experience demonstrating utilities maintenance operations leadership.
• 5 years of experience as a utilities maintenance operator with emphasis on steam or refrigeration preferred.
• Chief Boiler Operator license or boiler/ammonia equivalent certification required.
• PSM certification required.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of annual hours.
• Prior SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead water/gas/air systems maintenance/operations team to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Develop and champion Precision Maintenance techniques.
• Identify and implement critical water/gas/air systems maintenance and performance projects.
• Coordinate with Corporate Reliability Team to develop real-time condition data for critical systems.
• Manage maintenance training for personnel on critical systems.
• Develop and implement quality procedures for spares and parts.
• Lead root-cause analysis and reliability improvements.
• Support CMMS usage for reliability reporting and decisions.
