Repair, install, and troubleshoot boiler and refrigeration systems throughout the plant. This position has the responsibility to comply with safety work rules at all times and reinforce safety as a core value. All policies, procedures, and activities related to food safety and quality must be followed and complied with uniformly to reduce product and process variability.
The Utilities Maintenance Operator L1 (UMOL1) provides maintenance and reliability services within the plant, executing with excellence and assisting with water/gas/air systems asset health improvement efforts. The UMOL1 ensures results while partnering with plant maintenance, operational, and support teams for success. Responsibilities include assistance and executional excellence of facility water/gas/air systems safe operation and preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Other duties include technical troubleshooting, equipment installation, adjustments, startups, and process improvement projects. The role is a self‑starter willing to assist in operational, maintenance, and process responsibilities and KPI results. Availability for scheduled work times, weekends, and holidays is required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen, stand and walk, occasionally sit, use hands to finger, handle, and feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
