Job summary

The City of Henderson is seeking a Senior Utilities Business Analyst to support evaluation, design, and implementation of utility programs and projects. You will lead cross-functional groups to translate complex requirements into software configurations, reports, or automated workflows.

Ideal candidates will write SQL queries (Oracle/SQL Server) and develop Power BI reports while collecting, cleaning, and interpreting data to inform decisions. Hybrid work options may apply after probation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• Five years of experience performing financial, administrative, or business analysis in a utility setting.
• Equivalent combination of related training and experience accepted.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license.
• Desirable: Master’s degree in a related field.
• Desirable: Teambuilding and consensus-building experience.
• Desirable: Asset management certificate.
• Desirable: Certified Business Analyst.

• Support evaluation, design, documentation, and implementation of utility programs and projects.
• Conduct efficiency studies and participate in asset and fiscal management activities.
• Manage and implement assigned projects and perform related duties.
