Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology seeks a User & Platform Support Technician III to join the CADTech and Operations team on campus. You will lead front-line support for faculty, staff, students, and researchers, manage labs and AV systems, and coordinate daily service operations while mentoring student employees.

This senior role emphasizes customer service, problem-solving, and collaboration with campus partners to maintain reliable technology services, security processes, and documentation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles and practices of computer science.
• Knowledge of Windows Operating System.
• Skill in a variety of programming languages, software, and systems.
• Skill in customer service.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues.
• Ability to learn new technical, functional, and business concepts implemented at RIT.

Responsibilities

• Configures, tests, deploys, and maintains Windows and Linux computer systems.
• Manage users, computers, and security group polices in Active Directory.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with hardware, software, printers, and other equipment.
• Assists in developing, writing, and editing established technical, process, and administrative documentation.
• Logs, documents, maintains, and coordinates the organization of a variety of data and information.
• Maintains and tracks inventory and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned
