Job summary

Umicore seeks a Trade Compliance Manager US to support export controls, sanctions and customs compliance in the United States. The role reports to the Regional Trade Compliance Manager North America and focuses on US-specific regulatory requirements.

Based in Raleigh, NC, the position combines office presence with a hybrid work pattern (3 days in the office per week). Collaboration with EC&S teams and Business Partners is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in trade compliance, including export controls, sanctions, and customs.
• Good knowledge of US export control and sanctions regulations such as EAR and OFAC.
• Experience in a multinational corporate environment, ideally in industrial or technical sectors.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, International Trade, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Clear and pragmatic communication style with structured work approach.

Responsibilities

• Delivers expert work in Trade Compliance with high quality and timeliness.
• Owns complex tasks in trade compliance, producing accurate outputs and identifying risks.
• Analyzes problems, recommends options, and implements improvements.
• Collaborates with adjacent teams and stakeholders, communicating insights clearly.
• Mentors less experienced colleagues and elevates team standards.
• Support the Regional Trade Compliance Manager in implementing export controls and customs requirements in the US.
