Job summary

Ultimo, an IFS company, seeks a senior Accounting & Control leader to own US financial integrity and compliance, coordinating with European Finance. You will oversee month-end close, US tax, payroll, and treasury while guiding the US accounting team through a transition to centralized processes.

You will work with HR on payroll and benefits, ensure accurate group reporting, and maintain strong controls across US entities in a fast-moving SaaS environment. An exciting growth role in North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA advantageous).
• Experience in Controller/Senior Accounting Manager or Finance Manager roles, ideally multinational.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and reporting requirements; multi-state tax experience.
• IFRS knowledge preferable; payroll, benefits, banking and payment controls experience.
• US-based in the Eastern Time Zone to coordinate with European team.

Responsibilities

• Own US month-end close and key balance sheet accounts for group reporting.
• Ensure US accounting aligns with group policy under IFRS; manage US GAAP adjustments.
• Lead US sales and use tax across states (Avalara) and coordinate with tax advisers.
• Maintain US finance calendar; be the primary contact for auditors and tax authorities.
• Partner with HR on US payroll, 401(k) and benefits accounting.
• Manage US treasury: cash forecasting, payments, and banking administration.
• Own US project accounting and commission accounting with FP&A, Sales and HR.
• Contribute input to intercompany accounting and FX revaluations; light US sub-consolidation when needed.
• Lead US accounting team and standardize processes with central Finance.
