Qualifications

• AICP certification and 10+ years of planning experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture or related field.
• Demonstrates knowledge of planning and development principles and trends.
• Ability to study, analyze findings and recommend urban design solutions.
• Able to interpret federal, state, and local regulations and ordinances.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and MS Office; strong hand drawing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis and recommendations on community planning and urban design.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality urban design products.
• Assist in preparing comprehensive plans, master plans, and entitlement applications.
• Explain urban design and sustainable planning concepts to clients.
• Communicate concepts verbally and graphically; participate in public meetings.
• Build relationships with governmental and community organizations.
