Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Senior Civil Site Designer to join our Civil Site and Land Development team in Franklin or Nashville, Tennessee. You will lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex civil site projects, collaborating with engineers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, compliant results.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive civil site design experience, preferably in consulting.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, codes, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and production of civil site and land development plans for diverse projects.
• Perform site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, erosion control designs.
• Develop detailed design plans, profiles, details, specs, and construction documents.
• Review designs for technical accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate design efforts with project managers, engineers, surveyors, architects, and contractors.
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction-related activities.
• Provide mentorship to junior designers and contribute to standards and processes.
