Job summary

You will represent API before federal and state agencies, Congress, media, and other stakeholders, translating complex issues for diverse audiences.

You will lead committees, coordinate with API teams, and direct research and advocacy strategies, balancing priorities and resources with substantial independent judgment.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in public policy, regulatory affairs, or government relations.
• Deep knowledge of offshore oil and gas operations and policy.
• Ability to interpret federal/state regulations and develop advocacy strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate API policy positions on offshore exploration and safety.
• Lead committees and build consensus among members.
• Develop advocacy strategies with multiple API departments and partners.
• Represent API before federal/state agencies and Congress.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables for priority projects.
