Job summary

The American Petroleum Institute (API) is seeking a Program Manager for Upstream/The Environmental Partnership to support policy advocacy, analysis, and program management from our Washington, DC office. You will coordinate with API Communications, Legal, and Government Affairs to advance priorities and manage ongoing work through member committees.

Qualifications

5–7 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
Knowledge of oil and gas operations, environmental policy, or environmental science is preferred.
Familiarity with ESA/MBTA/BGEPA is desirable.
Strong written and verbal communications, organization, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Develops and implements API policy positions related to ESA and conservation; collaborates with API members and management.
Supports The Environmental Partnership (TEP) program, including planning workshops and member meetings.
Manages TEP reporting, data analysis, and annual report reviews.
Coordinates communications and marketing materials to promote TEP activities, both digitally and in print.
Maintains TEP website content and participant rosters; responds to inquiries from API staff and stakeholders.
Supports budget planning and management for projects within policy areas.
