Job summary

JERA Americas Inc. is seeking a General Manager, Upstream Operations, HSE & Regulatory Assurance with extensive global upstream oil and gas experience.

You will lead end-to-end upstream activities, including drilling, completions, and production, while embedding HSE and regulatory requirements into planning and execution. You will manage secondees, governance interfaces, and assurance processes at the senior leadership level.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 20 years in oil and gas, with upstream operations experience.
• Proven ability to lead across drilling, completions, production, and field execution.
• Strong track record integrating HSE and regulatory requirements into planning.
• Global perspective and ability to coordinate across disciplines and teams.
• Experience mentoring secondees and managing operator interfaces.
• Excellent written and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership oversight across upstream oil and gas activities, including drilling and production.
• Evaluate plans and readiness, assess performance, and manage risk across diverse assets.
• Ensure end-to-end HSE integration in planning, execution, and governance.
• Lead regulatory filing, permitting, and environmental compliance programs.
• Coordinate with regulators, legal counsel, and subject-matter experts on permits and changes.
• Mentor secondees and align their work with company priorities and governance.
