Qualifications

  • University degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 15+ years HSE or operational experience in energy or oil/gas context.
  • Experience in upstream, downstream, refining or LNG operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the regional HSE governance and strategy across the US region.
  • Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local standards including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
  • Coordinate HSE activities with asset teams and corporate functions.
  • Support M&A due diligence and regulatory investigations.
  • Develop regional objectives and incident/emergency management processes.

## Regional Head of HSEApply: Houston: Posted 2 Days Ago: JR102837**Job Title:**Regional Head of HSE**Contract Type:******Time Type:******Job Description:**The Regional Head of HSE will report to the Global Head of Ethics & Sustainabilty, supporting the Group’s strategy to expand its activities in the United States and Latam, including growing its asset base, bringing regional expertise and specifically knowledge of requirements in the United States.This role directs regional strategies to protect workers, assets, and the environment while maintaining strict legal compliance **Main Responsilibities**This role will work with the Global organization and deploy its governenece and strategy for the region.It will be in direct contact with all assets under the Group’s responsibility in the region and will be responsible for the adaptation and implementation of the relevant Health, Safety and Environment management system, in coordination of HSE teams at asset level:* advise on organization and resources: structuring the HSE governance in the region, and implementing corporate procedures,* help identify risks and control (technical and organsiatonal), as well as carrying out relevant audits* develop regional objectives and review incident and emergency management systems* develop the relevant reporting systemSpecifically in the United States, it will:* Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local standards, including from OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) for workplace safety, EPA for environmental matters and DOTThis role will also:* provide support to Mergers & Acquisitions, organizing due diligence as required* be responsible for the identification of legal requirements related to HSE applicable to the Company in the region, on assets but also on trading activities **Education**University degree (e.g.engineering) **Experience*** 15+ years HSE or operational experience preferably in the Natural Gas and Power or with an oil major.* Experience of working in a highly dynamic environment* Experience in upstream, downstream, refining or LNG operations **Skills*** Process Safety Management* Occupational Health & Safety Management* Environmental Management* Multi-country leadership experience* Major incident management experience* Knowledge of the commodity trading business* Experience of working with remote teams* High ethical standards* Sound judgment under pressure and resilience during incidents and crises* Strong influencing skills* Cultural awareness across the Americas* Ability to build credibility quickly* Pragmatic, risk-based decision making.* Fluent in English, written and oral (Spanish and other languages are a plus)* Ability to travel
