Job summary

Sure Power is seeking a UPS Service Engineer to refurbish, install, and maintain UPS systems for data centers and critical power infrastructure across the continental United States. You will perform commissioning, testing, and on-site troubleshooting, and provide emergency services as needed.

The role requires knowledge of high- and low-voltage systems, schematics literacy, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent with 2+ years’ UPS experience or 5+ years in UPS field.
• Knowledge of 12VDC, 120VAC, 208VAC, 480VAC and 3-phase systems.
• Ability to read schematics and electrical drawings.
• Troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques for UPS equipment.
• Strong communication and customer relations skills; able to work independently.
• Valid driver's license; ability to obtain DOT medical certificate and pass drug/alcohol screen.
• Willing to work varied shifts and be on rotating on-call team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, refurbish, install, and maintain UPS systems and equipment.
• Provide emergency on-site support as required.
• Perform commissioning, testing, and procedures; document results.
• Build battery systems and prepare equipment for shipment.
• Drive DOT-regulated vehicle and logistically support field operations.
• Produce Field Service Reports promptly and accurately.
• Mentor and participate in training programs as required.
