Job summary

M.C. Dean in Utah seeks a UPS Battery Technician 2 to join a fast-growing regional team.

You will serve as the site point of contact and subject matter expert for UPS systems and batteries, coordinating Preventative and Predictive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance and warranty work. You will inspect power electronics, certify compliance with NEC and applicable codes, review drawings, and log work in Maximo.

Qualifications

• Assoc degree in electronics or GED with 4+ years UPS maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting complex technical instructions, plans blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC, maintenance practices, and quality control procedures.
• Use of laptop and various software packages will be required.
• Ability to evaluate complex electrical systems, perform damage assessments, and diagnose malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, install, and clean batteries and terminals.
• Take voltage, resistance, and specific gravity readings and log service records.
• Log work in Maximo and support field technicians.
• Assist in training Battery Technicians and advise on maintenance practices.
