Job summary

Delan Associates, Inc. is seeking a UNIX Administrator with Cache DBA responsibilities to design, deploy, and support UNIX-based cache database solutions. Lead installation planning, ensure minimal downtime, and work with vendors to refresh data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities include backup/restoration, SAN/NAS storage, and disaster recovery planning. Requires 5+ years UNIX experience, strong communication, and Epic or InterSystems Cache certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years UNIX experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Epic or InterSystems certifications.
• Experience with SAN/NAS, Fibre Channel networks.
• Relational database administration experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise operation, administration and activities of assigned servers and software.
• Maintain network device documentation and configurations.
• Respond to user issues and provide level 3–4 support.
• Provide 1st–2nd level network support in escalation process.
• Communicate with users to ensure timely problem resolution.
• Implement Cache backup/restoration processes and related planning.
• Log trouble calls and track progress in ticketing system.
• Participate in long/short term tech planning and project work.
