Job summary

BankUnited in Florida seeks a Teller/Platform associate to handle deposits, withdrawals, and cash transactions. You will promote Bank products, meet branch goals, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Training includes a two-week Retail Training Class, with potential mileage reimbursement. A $1,000 sign-on bonus will be paid after six months of continuous service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of cash handling experience (preferably Teller)
• Excellent customer service, sales, risk management and cash operations experience preferred
• Must be fully trained in both Teller and Platform functions
• Two-week Retail Training Class from 9am-5pm in either Miami Lakes or Boynton Beach; mileage reimbursement may apply

Responsibilities

• Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements
• Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances
• Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues receipts
• Places holds on accounts as appropriate
• Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift
• Explains, promotes, and sells Bank products or services in branch or via telemarketing
• Performs outbound calls and sets appointments to meet branch goals
• Cross-trains on Platform products and assists clients
• Opens and processes accounts after consulting with customers on needs
• Meets referral goals for cross selling and fee income
• Maintains knowledge of current products, policies, procedures, and regulations
• Processes transactions from ATM and night depository
• Responds to customer inquiries or problems
• Assists with safe deposit box transactions
• Balances cash under dual control in ATMs and night depository
• Adheres to applicable laws and Bank policies
• Identifies and reports suspicious activity
