Job summary

Georgia's Own Credit Union in Georgia is seeking a Universal Banker II to deliver outstanding member service, build relationships, and support branch operations. You will handle advanced transactions, account openings, lending, and relationship growth while mentoring colleagues and supporting sales practices.

The role emphasizes onboarding support, performance accountability, and collaboration with branch leadership to promote service excellence and branch productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and equivalent years of experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three to Five years’ experience in a financial branch environment or experience comparable within the financial industry or a retail sales environment
• Provide coverage at other branches when necessary and work Saturday rotation schedule
• Ability to communicate with members and others at all levels of the Credit Union, in both written and verbal formats
• Experience with the loan application process and standard or typical internal operating policies and procedures
• Knowledge of current industry offers, market trends, competitors, and Credit Union lending and member service policies and procedures
• Demonstrates analytical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and judgment by gathering and applying relevant data to research and resolve issues
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point software applications
• Candidates must be able to pass a background check including: Credit, Drug Screen, Bondability, & Criminal Background.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional member service through in-person, telephone, and digital member interactions.
• Build and strengthen member relationships by identifying needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
• Open consumer and business membership accounts.
• Assist members with account maintenance, problem resolution, and service requests.
• Process and support consumer loan applications and related documentation.
• Conduct consultative conversations to identify deposit, lending, and relationship-growth opportunities.
• Maintain timely follow-up with members and document member interactions in designated systems.
• Promote Credit Union products and services through referrals, education, and relationship management.
• Support achievement of branch service, production, and member-experience goals.
