J.E. Dunn Construction Company in Kansas City, MO seeks a Trade Foreman 2 (Union) – Ironworker to supervise the crew and perform tasks for routine and complex projects. You will oversee field operations, ensure safety, and drive production efficiency in alignment with JE Dunn’s standards.

The role requires leadership, crew supervision, and deep knowledge of trades, with opportunities for growth within the project management path. Union status and onsite duties are central to this position.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform work accurately and completely in a timely manner.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written (Intermediate).
• Proficiency in MS Office and productivity software.
• Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources.
• Ability to apply Lean process and philosophy.
• Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity.
• Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.
• Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management.
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crew to meet production goals and safety standards.
• Coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite.
• Track units and labor hours; complete timecards.
• Ensure quality standards and safety procedures are followed.
• Mentor team members and share subject matter knowledge.
• Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors as needed.
• Plan crew size and work tasks to align with project goals.
• Support safety programs and toolbox talks.
