Job summary

CBRE Union Assistant Chief Engineer will guide operations, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain and repair buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds, while upholding safety and CBRE guidelines.

They will develop preventive maintenance programs, supervise shift operations, review service summaries, and coordinate with teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability for tenants and facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–8 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification required.
• Local certifications/licenses as required by jurisdiction.
• Strong MS Office and numeric skills required.

Responsibilities

• Follow codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Manage shift operations and assign work orders.
• Review monthly tenant service summaries to identify problems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Inspect systems to ensure operation within normal parameters.
• Maintain inventory and order materials to complete tasks.
• Schedule maintenance and downtime to minimize business interruption.
• Respond to emergencies and document repairs.
