Job summary

CNA, a leading risk solutions firm, seeks an experienced underwriting professional for a senior individual-contributor role in Chicago, IL. You will manage, analyze and price a highly complex book of business, mentor teammates and influence underwriting policy with minimal oversight.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with extensive underwriting experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and familiarity with MS Office; CNA systems experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; typically eight years underwriting experience.
• Professional designations preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to lead and mentor.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and price highly complex underwriting risks for a large book of business.
• Develop endorsement language for complex risks and influence pricing strategy.
• Present reports to management and support underwriting policy decisions.
• Market products through agencies/brokers and maintain key relationships.
• Mentor less experienced underwriters and participate in training.
