Job summary

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; professional designations preferred.
- Typically eight years underwriting experience.
- Advanced underwriting knowledge and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to mentor less experienced underwriters.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite highly complex risks and set pricing strategies.
- Develop endorsement language for complex risks.
- Analyze profitability of risks and report to management.
- Market products through agencies and broker networks.
- Maintain agency relationships within assigned territory.
- Participate in industry groups and stay current on regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior underwriters.
- Utilize CNA core systems for daily activities.
- Lead special underwriting projects and presentations.
